MINISTRIES TO CHURCHES

The South Richmond Baptist Center is funded by generous donations from the various churches of the metropolitan area. We offer activities and ministry at a low and often no cost to those in need. We are able to help families and individuals in the zip codes 23224 and 23225 and on occasion 23234. We are located near the Southside Plaza, off of Hall Street.​

Not only does the South Richmond Baptist Center offer various ministries to families and residents of the Southside area of Richmond, but we also serve as an outreach consultant to various churches and as a mission field for church groups, mission teams and to learn how to serve God outside of your own community. Our desire is that all may become followers of Christ as we create disciples, just as Jesus instructs us in Matthew 28:19-20.

ACTIVITIES OF CHRISTIAN COMPASSION

• Transportation  to Worship Service throughout the city- Sunday

• Furniture Bank  - Mondays 

• ​Community Bible Study – Wednesdays 10-12 pm​

• Community Clothing Closet – Thursdays 12-2 pm. (baby items & young men)

• Emergency Food Distribution: Third Thursdays of each month, Prayer and devotions BEFORE distribution.

• Christmas Store – for qualified families of South Richmond Community in the 23224 and 23225 zip codes, in December

• “Back2School” - Backpacks Ministry – School supplies and Backpacks giveaway to school students of all ages.

• Camping program in partnership with Camp Alkulana

• Rent Assistance, medical prescriptions and other benevolent ministry, per appointment

• Hospital & Community visits - Fridays

• After school assistance as needed
